Are you writing a novel, novella or short story, or a work of non-fiction, and feel you could use a supportive and stimulating environment to keep going? Or maybe you would benefit from an exchange of ideas with other writers? If so, this is the workshop for you. Over eight-weeks you will receive constructive advice on how to keep going with your writing. You will have the opportunity to share your work in a positive environment and develop critiquing skills.
This course is for anyone writing fiction or non-fiction.
By the end of this course, you will have:
- made good progress on your work
- gained a better understanding of what is involved in structuring, writing and editing your work.
Each two-hour session includes structured writing guidance and provides the opportunity to discuss your writing, workshop sections of it in class, hear what others are working on and develop your critiquing skills in a supportive environment.
In addition to group workshopping, the tutor will provide you with tailored feedback on the pieces you write throughout the course.
You will be expected to write between classes.
A short break is held halfway through each session and tea and coffee are provided. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments if you wish.
This course is limited to 12 participants, so please enrol early.
